De Zavala Elementary serves approximately 625 - 700 students attending grades Pre-Kindergarten - 6th grade.
We are proud of our diverse community combining students from many ethnic backgrounds. At De Zavala Elementay, we see ourselves as a community of learners where diversity and difference are valued and respected.
De Zavala is named in honor of Lorenzo de Zavala, who was instrumental in Texas gaining independence, and served as the Vice President of the Republic of Texas.
